ElmerPrint acquisition
ElmerPrint A/S in Vejle is taking over the activities of Plasmedic
A/S, Rønnede from 8 July 2006.
ElmerPrint is the leading Scandinavian manufacturer of plant
packaging, labels and other promotional sales materials, primarily
to the horticultural industry. The company specialises in print on
plastic and today has a strong market position with a
state-of-the-art machine park and a team of skilled, highly
motivated employees.
The acquisition of Plasmedic will further strengthen the business
concept and turnover of the company, especially in terms of new
products and new markets, and also offers the potential for further
development of the concept within the horticultural industry.
Plasmedic produces special plastic foil packaging, primarily for the
horticultural, textile and sugar industries. The company was founded
in 1980 by Ole Jeppesen, who will not stay on after the acquisition.
Plasmedic’s turnover in the last accounting year was DKK 10m.
ElmerPrint’s annual turnover is approx. DKK 50m. It has 50 employees
and exports to several countries, primarily in Scandinavia and
Central Europe. The company is located in Vejle and has buildings
covering 3500m2 at its disposal. In connection with the acquisition,
all Plasmedic machinery and equipment will be moved to Vejle and
additional staff will be employed.
